Cannes Festival of Creativity Gets Underway
This week sees the great, the good and the liggers descend on Cannes for the annual media jamboree that is the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. Celebrating the best creative communications work of the past 12 months, the Festival is a great party for those who are there – and a great source of inspiration for everyone else.
Agencies from around the world submit their best creative work in the hope of bringing home one of the prestigious Lions – hot tips this year include P&G’s global Olympics work for their ‘Thankyou Mom (or ‘Mum’, depending on where in the world you live)’ campaign, and Adidas for their equally-Olympian ‘Beckham Photobooth’ effort, but there’s a huge variety of impressive campaigns on display.
We recommend taking a look at the official website of the Festival here, where they will, over the next few days, begin to upload the awards submissions; and if you want a peek at the front-runners, the always-excellent ‘Metal Potential’ blog regularly highlights great work from around the world.
May the best campaign win…
